Dr Ali Daftari are well-respected surgeons in the dental profession due to their many years of teaching through their acumen, skill and knowledge.
We also have a uniquely-trained support team that facilitates every aspect of our treatments and procedures. This team is made up of periodontal specialists, implant dentists, dental hygienists, qualified dental nurses and our highly-experienced administrative/managerial team.

The Role of Our Specialists
Our specialists assess, diagnose, treat and manage all conditions involving the gums (gingivae), soft tissues, attachments (periodontal ligaments) and bone (maxilla and mandible) surrounding the teeth. Specialist Dentistry
Specialist Periodontology is a field of dentistry that is associated with restoring the health of the foundational complex that holds teeth in place. Implantology is a field of dentistry that integrates all surgical procedures involved in the placement of various models of artificial teeth (usually made of titanium) within the bone after the loss of the original teeth.

Dr Ettore Amerio qualified from University of Genoa, Italy with honour in 2012 and completed with honour the Specialization in Oral Surgery at the University of Turin in 2016. In 2017 he started the Master in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) at the International University of Catalonia (UIC), Barcelona, Spain. In 2020 he obtained the Certificate of Completion of Specialized Traning (CCST) in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry after passing the EFP board exam with excellent grades. He has participated as a speaker in national and international congresses.
Currently, as a PhD student at UIC, he is involved in research with several published papers in the highest-ranked journals in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry. In addition, he collaborates with the University of Milan as a tutor of undergraduate and postgraduate students and works in Italy and London limiting his practice to Periodontology and Oral Surgery.

Dr Ali Daftari initially qualified with a degree in Microbiology with biomedical sciences and subsequently went on to obtain a degree in Doctor of Medical Dentistry. He worked in general practice and later sat his MFDS examination. Dr Daftari later enrolled in a one-year multi-system implantology course which led him to pursue further studies in periodontology. In 2012, he commenced a three-year full-time specialist training program at Barts and The London in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. He attained his MClinDent in Periodontics in 2014 and an advanced diploma in periodontology in 2015. Dr Daftari has a special interest in the regeneration of tissues of the periodontium and carried out a proof of principle research study on regenerative materials. He is keen on treating the cosmetic aspect of gum issues, surgically correcting gummy smiles and gum recession.

Omar qualified in 2003 from the University of Glasgow, England winning the prize for conservative dentistry as an undergraduate. In 2005, he became a practice principal and subsequently a vocational trainer with the responsibility of training newly qualified dentists. He was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007 and the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2008.
Whilst working in general practice, he undertook advanced training in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, completing the Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice. On completion of four years of specialist training in periodontics, he was awarded a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry from King’s College London and Membership in Periodontics from Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He previously worked at Guy’s Hospital, London at a consultant level and undertakes all aspects of periodontal therapy including surgical, non-surgical, muco-gingival, crown lengthening and implant therapy. As well as providing periodontal care at the practice, he has a special interest in the association between periodontal disease and diabetes. In 2015, he received the Ron F. Wilson award from King’s College London for clinical research and has presented his research internationally.
For a number of years, he has been an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, examining the Licence in Dental Surgery, the oldest continuously existing dental qualification in the United Kingdom.

Jaina a specialist in gum/periodontal treatments, working to help patients to maintain their oral health by preventing gum and periodontal disease and promoting good oral health.
The most rewarding aspect for Jaina is getting to see patients responding positively to treatments. It’s also great to see patients improve their own oral health based on my advice and work.
When Jaina is not in the practice, you’ll find her spending time with her niece and nephews, socialising or enjoying a weekend away somewhere relaxing.

Steliana has 12 years experience in the dental industry, and enjoys working in the fields of periodontal and implant Surgery. She is currently studying for her dental implant nursing qualification with the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses. She speaks multiple languages, including English, Greek and Romanian. Her hobbies include looking after her young daughter, cooking, baking and learning new skills.
